Recap

Report by: Ron Burgundy

The first game to kick off the Superleague season seen Men’s Vikings vs the BlackRocks, no love was lost between these bitter rivals.
The game started very quick with a goal on both sides, after review, it seemed both goalies were distracted by BlackRock defender Curtis Watson’s fashion sense as he was sporting a 80’s style headband for unknown reasons, which might or might not have slide over his eyes on a few occasions to cause the bird box challenge to become a reality on the Gaelic pitch. Reports have shown headband sales have gone up since. Tony Purdie started his season on the right foot knocking 3 points over the bar; do we have a new Tony Purdie in the making? Not to be out done the mad scientist Steven Owens made sure to knock 8 points over the bar for his respective team and give his team a 3 point lead at the half.
Ronan Shaughs was sporting a brand new mustache during the game; it seemed to have given him a new life as he cleanly put 10 points over the bar, Simon Chamberland also scored 4 goals to help the Vikings comeback. In the end, Alan Baxter made sure to start the season right as he collected a dinotauriously (Yes I created a new word, cause I can) big 2 goals and 14 points for the BlackRocks.
BlackRocks won and are continuing their winter league dominance into 2019.
Side note, it was reported Shaughs would grow back his mullet to go with his mustache and buy himself a headband to bring the 80’s back to life!
You stay classy, Montreal!
