Summer Superleague 2021 Finals

This Saturday, the 25th of August starting at 1pm in Vanier, we have the Summer Superleague 2021 finals! All roads have led to here!
Starting things off we have the final hurling Superleague game as N.D.G Na Fianna Rouges take on the St. Henri Harps with a spot in the final up for grabs. For the Harps, there is only one objective to win by three or more points, anything else will see the Rouges go into the finals. This will be a shortened affair at just 11 minutes a half, so tensions will be high and the room for error will be marginal.
Next we have our first final with a full-length game between the Verdun Vikings and the Griffintown Gaels. The Gaels will be coming into this on a high, befitting their form in the second half of this season. A run of form that saw them humble the Vikings. The Vikings will not be so easily cowed though, with a fine blend of new talent and some old hands this side started strong before injury took its toll, if they can find that form again, the Gaels could be in for a rude awakening.
Our third game will be the Ladies Football final. The Warriors and the Blackrocks have traded blows all summer, and coming into this final the Blackrocks look the stronger side, but they didn’t have things all their own way and will be wary of the power of the punch that the Warriors are packing. This game will be on a knife edge, and we expect the final result to rest on the smallest of things.
We hope that the hurling semi finalists have plenty in the tank, because they’ll be facing PSC Cu Chulainn in the last game of the day. PSC will rightly feel that they’re the heirs apparent for this season, with an invincible season behind them, but they’d want to wary – the side that faces them will sharper on the ball having already had a game under their belt and could easily catch PSC with their proverbial pants down. This should be an enthralling spectacle to round off what has been a very competitive Summer Superleague
