Summer Superleague 2021: Week Three Results

Week three of the SuperLeague saw hurling and ladies’ football action. The St Henri Harps and PSC Cu Chulainn were up first in the Hurling, where the Harps were unable to stop PSC from going two for two, despite their best efforts and an outstanding display from their MVP, Michael Prendergast. PSC were in complete control for the entirety of the game, with Julie Houle picking up an MVP award for her tireless performance.
In the ladies’ football the Concordia Warriors faced off against the Goose Village Blackrocks.
Blackrocks MVP Veronique Buisson might very well rue what could have been as this game saw both sides fight to a standstill. The Warriors will be happy with their more rounded display this week, capped off by Kaya-Nadege Dube Snow MVP worthy performance, whereas the Blackrocks, will take solace in the fact that this draw maintains their two point advantage at the top of the table.

Summer Superleague 2021: Week Two Results

With week two of the SuperLeague we enjoyed a gaelic football double header. First in Men’s Football the Verdun Vikings maintained their unbeaten run by seeing off the Griffintown Gaels. The Vikings took the game by the scruff of the neck early, with Vikings MVP Yacine Baouche showing incredible tenacity and workrate. Despite some fine work from Geals MVP Davey Healy the Vikings held firm and as the minutes of the second half ticked down they steadily snuffed out any chance of a Gaels comeback.
In the Ladies’ Football the Concordia Warriors and the Goose Village Blackrocks met for the first of a six match series spread across the summer SuperLeague . The Blackrocks drew first blood in a game that started close but as the third and fourth quarters wore on the Blackrocks had more gas in the tank, and with strong play starting at the back with Blackrocks MVP Marie-Flore Castonguay, began to pull away from the Warriors. This result will leave the Warriors with a lot to consider before their next meeting, perhaps Warriors MVP and club veteran Mariette Parrod will have something up her sleeve for next time?
