2023 is starting with a bang as we have three games to kick off the winter superleague.
The prestige of the opening game will be shared by the Goose Village Blackrocks and the Verdun Vikings in the ladies’ football – both sides eager to lay down a marker by which all the other ladies’ teams will be judged.
Following that, we have the Concordia Warriors, back for another winter season, against the Griffintown Gaels in the men’s football. The reformed Warriors have been also-rans for many a year, but there’s a hunger about this years team, will the Gaels be ready for them, or could we see the start of a glorious upset?
And finally, we cap off the evening with the first game of the Camogie superleague. New year, same teams – as PSC Cu Chulainn and N.D.G. Na Fianna Rouges begin a five game series in their quest to be crowned winter champions. Will it be three in a row for Na Fianna, or have PSC finally got the measure of them?
We hope you’ll join us for what promises to be an entertaining start to the winter season.
