Winter Superleague 2020: Week 7

Coming up this Saturday, the 22nd of Feburary at the Stinger Dome

  • 6pm – Concordia Warriors vs N.D.G. Na Fianna Rouges
  • 7pm – Concordia Warriors (Men’s) vs Verdun Vikings (Men’s)
  • 8pm – Concordia Warriors (Ladies) vs Verdun Vikings (Ladies)

Week seven of the 2020 Winter Superleague starts at 6pm this Saturday, the 22nd of February, in the Concordia Stinger Dome, and will see the Concordia Warriors take to the field in all three fixtures.
First we have small ball action as the Concordia Warriors take on N.D.G Na Fianna Rouges. Both the Warriors and the Rouge as a point off the top of the table, so both sides will go at it hard knowing they can go top of the table with a win here.
Next we have the Warriors going against the Verdun Vikings in the men’s football. These sides are tied on a win each but with the table as tight as it is, either side could jump into second place with a win here and position themselves nicely for the run in to the end of the season. High drama and fantastic football surely awaits in this fixture.
Finally, its the Warriors and the Vikings again, but this time in the Ladies’ Football. The Vikings need a win here to keep themselves in the race, while the Warriors have been in fine fettle and will be looking for a win here to put them top of the table, which should make for a cracking game.

And while the men’s football is on, there is a Ladies’ Football training session from 7pm to 8pm on Field C.

Winter Superleague 2020: Week 6

  • 7pm – Goose Village Blackrocks (Ladies) vs Verdun Vikings (Ladies)

Week Six of the Winter Superleague sees top of the table clashes in the Men’s football, a place at the top of the table up for the Vikings in the Women’s football, and in Hurling PSC will look to turn their season around as they face the St Henri Harps.
PSC are without a win so far this year, but will fancy their chances in landing the second punch on a Harps side that are still reeling from their first loss of the season.
Next up we have a second place Vikings taking on third place Blackrocks, both could jump into first depending on the score difference that the end of this match, so expect no quarter to be asked or given as both sides chase the number one spot.
And to close out the night we have a top of the table clash, where the Griffintown Gaels meet the Goose Village Blackrocks for the second, and possibly last, time this season. The game went the Gaels way last time, and set them up for an impressive season so far, but the Blackrocks will be itching to right that perceived wrong and will look to push the Gaels to their limit. Will the Gaels go two for two and set themselves up for a place in the final, or will the Blackrocks claim victory and throw the field wide open?

Winter Superleague 2020: Week 5

Coming up this Saturday, the 8th of Feburary at the Stinger Dome

  • 6pm – Concordia Warriors (Ladies) vs Griffintown Gaels (Ladies)
  • 7pm – Field D – Concordia Warriors (Men’s) vs Griffintown Gaels (Men’s)
  • 7pm – Field C – Goose Village Blackrocks (Men’s) Vs Verdun Vikings (Men’s)
  • 8pm – St Henri Harps vs N.D.G. Na Fianna Rouges

Week Five of the 2020 Winter Superleague starts at 6pm this Saturday, the 8th of February, in the Concordia Stinger Dome, and will see all the men’s teams in action as we have another double header weekend!
All the teams in the Ladies’ football league are tied on one win apiece, so it’s a spot at the top of the table for whoever comes out ahead in our opening fixture as the Concordia Warriors take on the Griffintown Gaels.
Following from that both fields will be in use as the Gaels and Warriors face off on Field D and the Blackrocks and Vikings go head to head on Field C. There’s only two points keeping the Gaels at the top of the table, so either the Rocks and the Vikings will be snapping at their heels, provided the Gaels can do the business against the Warriors.
And to close out the night we have Hurling, where the St Henri Harps take on current champions, N.D.G Na Fianna Rouges. Every other team has tried and failed to put the Harps in their place, and now it’s the Rouges’ turn. Will the be successful, or with the Harps hype train roll on?
