Winter Superleague 2020: Week 2

Winter superleague week 2
Coming up this Saturday, the 18th of January at the Stinger Dome –

  • 6pm – Verdun Vikings (Men’s) vs Concordia Warriors (Men’s)
  • 7pm – Goose Village Blackrocks (Ladies’) vs Griffintown Gaels (Ladies’)
  • 8pm – Na Fianna Rouges vs Concordia Warriorss

This week sees the Verdun Vikings and the Concordia Warriors will battle to see who will join theGriffintown Gaels at the top of the men’s football table.
Following that, the Goose Village Blackrocks and the Griffintown Gaels will clash in the Ladies’ Football league, both eager to match the pace set by last week’s winners, the Concordia Warriors.
And speaking of the Warriors, the Concordia Warriors Hurling team will have their inaugural game as our final fixture of the evening, as they face off against last year’s champions, N.D.G Na Fianna Rouges.

And in addition to all that superleague action there will be a training session on Field C at 7pm for all the men’s footballers, perfectly for those of us who don’t have a game this week.

Draft Night 2020


Hey future shamrocks, come on out to Hurley’s Irish Pub on Friday the 10th of January at 7pm to find out what team you’ll be playing for in the 2020 super league.
Everyone is encouraged to come out for a great night, meet new players and give them a warm welcome to our club.

Looking to try a new sport?
Need an exciting activity to see you through the Winter?
Like meeting new people?
Maybe you’ve heard of Gaelic Football, Camogie, or Hurling and want to know more?

This is the perfect time!
Join us on Field C at the Concordia Stinger Dome on January 4th at 6pm to see and try our traditional Irish sports of Gaelic Football, Hurling and Camogie.
Our coaches will be on hand to explain the rules and teach the techniques needed to begin playing.

All equipment will be provided, all you’ll need to bring is yourself, water, boots, and comfortable clothes for playing sports in.

Following the Intro Day, those interested in joining our Winter Superleague (Jan-Apr) will be drafted to a team. Games will take place on Saturdays (though your team will not have a game every week). All membership information and options will be detailed on the day and can also be found here
