Summer Superleague 2021 Finals Results

A big congratulations to everyone who competed in yesterdays Summer Superleague finals! The hurling semi-final saw the St. Henri Harps get the better of N.D.G Na Fianna Rouges, with a strong second half performance taking the wind right out of the Rouges sails.
The Men’s football final looked to be done and dusted by the end of the first half, with the Griffintown Gaels having a ten point advantage over the Verdun Vikings. But as the second half wore on the vikings took the game to the Gaels, eventually overcoming the deficit and briefly taking the lead before being brought back level. The game went to extra time, and then to next score wins, where the vikings lived to regret missed opportunities, as a calm Tony Cunningham free decided matters once and for all.
In the Ladies football final the Concordia Warriors and the Goose Village Blackrocks traded blows over both halves, neither side able to land the killing blow. With the Warriors missing a prime opportunity to end the game in the dying minutes, this final also went to extra time. Like the Vikings before them the Warriors also lived to regret spurned opportunities, as the Blackrocks found some extra gas in the tank to take the game out of the Warriors reach.
The Hurling final started strong for the victorious semi-finalists, the St. Henri Harps, but as the game played out PSC Cu Chulainn showed the form that had seen them remain unbeaten in the Superleague so far and methodically took the game to the Harps and by the end of regular time, had run out the deserved winners.
